The fall tax deadlines are over, we just had daylight savings time this past weekend, now what? Just a friendly reminder for businesses to file your Health Insurance Responsibility Disclosure (HIRD) form, between November 15, 2019 and December 15, 2019. If you utilize a payroll company, chances are this service is performed for you. However, we advise you to contact your payroll company to coordinate your reporting and ensure that the HIRD form is properly completely and filed on time.

The Health Insurance Responsibility Disclosure (HIRD) is a state reporting requirement in Massachusetts, which launched in 2018. State law requires every employer in Massachusetts with six or more employees to annually submit a HIRD form, which collects information about your employer-sponsored insurance offerings. The HIRD reporting requirement is administered by MassHealth and the Department of Revenue through your MassTaxConnect (MTC) account.
