Your Vote Matters!
As we approach Election Day, it’s important to remember that every single vote makes a difference. Our children are looking to us to learn about participating in a democracy and making our voices heard, and this upcoming election gives us this opportunity.
Election Day is Tuesday, March 3
, and the ballot includes issues that affect us all at the national, state and local level.
Mail Ballot Election:
San Mateo County has switched to mail ballot elections and all voters should have received a ballot in the mail in early February. You have two options for returning your ballot:
Mail Your Ballot:
You can place your ballot in the mail.
Ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, March 3, in order to count.
Vote in Person at a Vote Center:
San Mateo County has set up Vote Centers that allow you to get a new ballot, drop off your ballot or register to vote and vote right there. You can vote at any Vote Center in the county, but two nearby Vote Centers are:
- Portola Valley Historic Schoolhouse: 765 Portola Valley Road
- Woodside Village Church: 3154 Woodside Road
These vote centers are open Saturday, February 29 through Tuesday, Election Day.
Saturday - Monday: Open 9 AM to 5 PM. Tuesday, Election Day: Open 7 AM to 8 PM
