Election Day


Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  

A couple of things to remember:


When voting in person, don’t forget to bring proper identification. Acceptable forms of ID include:


  • a driver’s license
  • state ID
  • any official document that includes your name and address


Voters may also bring their sample ballot to help guide their choices. You can find your voting district on our website:  www.29palms.org or the County of San Bernardino Registrar of Voters Website: www.elections.sbcounty.gov You may also call City Hall (760) 367-6799 to find out where your polling place is, if voting in person.


Please take the time to vote, your vote matters!

City Council Meeting Cancellation Notice



There will only be one City Council meeting in November, on Tuesday, November 12th.  


The November 26th meeting will be canceled due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Holiday Festival

Get ready to kick off the holiday season in Twentynine Palms with a festive celebration! The City of Twentynine Palms is excited to announce its annual Holiday Festival, taking place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 5-8PM at Freedom Plaza.


This magical evening will be filled with family-friendly activities, delicious food, and plenty of holiday cheer. The festival will feature a dazzling Light Parade, which will begin at 6PM, illuminating the streets with festive floats, twinkling lights, and holiday spirit. Following the parade, attendees are invited to gather in the center of Freedom Plaza for the Tree Lighting Ceremony, a beloved tradition that brings the community together to mark the official start of the holiday season.


Throughout the evening, visitors will have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa Claus, making it the perfect chance for families to capture special holiday memories. Additionally, a variety of food vendors will be on-site, offering festive treats and savory delights for all to enjoy.


As part of the Holiday Festival, don’t miss out on the now two-day Holiday Market, running December 3-4 inside the Twentynine Palms Community Center, where local artisans and vendors will be offering unique holiday gifts, crafts, and seasonal goods, perfect for checking off your holiday shopping list.


This event is free and open to the public. Be sure to mark your calendars and bring the whole family to Freedom Plaza for a night of festive fun as we ring in the holiday season together.

Million Coaches Challenge


We’re thrilled to announce that Twentynine Palms Parks and Recreation has been selected by the National Recreation and Park Association to participate in the Million Coaches Challenge. At Parks and Recreation, we’re committed to building positive experiences for our young people — which means training our coaches, staff and volunteers in how to support positive youth development.


Through the Million Coaches Challenge, we’re receiving access to no-cost training from the Positive Coaching Alliance, which will help build a future where our youth know how to work together, celebrate success, manage failure and are equipped with the skills they need to thrive.
