~August 2025~

Katie's Korner: A message from your PYC Coordinator

Happy August to our network!

You'll find a very short and focused newsletter below, which is both because I have just returned from a 2-week trip and am feeling all the overwhelm, and also because I want to make sure to highlight two big events coming up -- Our September PYC Partners meeting and the Coupeville Children's Fair. I promise to return to the full format of including all partner requests and resources in September. For now, I hope that you take solace in less scrolling for the month!

See below for our upcoming partner events, monthly program numbers and back to school resources!

Always remember you can send events, needs and program information at any time to me at katiew@whidbeyfoundation.org.

Partners for Young Children (PYC) is a coalition focused on improving the wellbeing of children and families in Island County.

Through PYC, Island County organizations and individuals come together to achieve the vision that all children thrive in nurturing relationships and healthy families. Together, partners are cultivating community action to strengthen Island County families.

Highlighted September Events!

Join us for our Quarterly Partners Meetings

Make sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming in-person Partners Meeting. There will be a lunch 'n learn presentation, impact stories, opportunities for collaboration and refreshments. But, most importantly, time for social connection and networking! We WILL have a virtual option to join, so be sure to RSVP either way at the link below.

Join PYC, Coupeville Library & the Coupeville Market for a Children's Fair!

A huge thank you to all the PYC Partners who have already signed up for the fair! This is going to be a very sweet event for families with young children. The library has some great entertainment lined up, including a renowned children's musician and facepainting.

We do still have a few booths left if any organizations are interested. While we catered our initial invites to Central Whidbey resources, we would be happy to include other Island County resources. Just email katiew@whidbeyfoundation.org!

Please feel free to promote this event! Flyer linked below.

Stay Connected with PYC! ðŸ“²

We’re working to increase awareness of the coalition, and your support makes all the difference. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and share our posts with your networks. Together, we can reach more people and amplify the positive impact of PYC!

And don't forget, one of the benefits of the upcoming more formalized PYC membership (coming this fall) will be promotion of your organization on our PYC and foundation socials, so the more people following the better for all!
