Hello NECC Community!
Each year, in order to maintain our excellent water quality, we close the pool at the end of August to drain and refill it.
This year, in addition to shutting down the pool, the entire facility will be closed to give all of our hard-working staff a well-deserved, much-needed break.
The NECC will be closed Monday, August 29 through Monday, September 5.
During this time, our contractor Schommer & Sons will continue to make progress on the HVAC system upgrade, and we will hold two staff work days to focus on other cleaning and organizing around the facility.
If you are looking for ways to stay active during our closure, make sure you head over to our On-Demand Library. We have we have dozens of classes available whenever you need them - all included in an NECC Membership!
Thank you for supporting our dedicated staff. They have really gone above and beyond these past two and a half years: covering shifts when coworkers got COVID, continuously adjusting to new safety protocols, working through an invasive construction project, and just generally putting in a lot of effort to support programs and activities for our community. Please note, regular staff will be paid for their typical shifts.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we give our staff a chance for some rest and relaxation. We can’t wait to see you back on September 6th.
