Important Fall Term Dates

As we begin our second week of fall term, make sure you save the following important dates! For more information, check out our News and Events page.

  • Wednesday, October 9, 16, 23, and 30: Fall Community Lectures
  • Monday, November 11: OLLI at SOU closed in observance of Veterans Day
  • Tuesday, November 12: Winter PDF catalog available online
  • Friday, November 15: Spring term course proposal period opens
  • Monday, November 18: Winter Priority Registration begins
  • Friday, November 22: Fall term ends

Beginning of Term Reminders

  • Coffee mugs are available for use in the members' lounge. If you use a mug, please return it to the lounge and wash it by hand.
  • Members interested in requesting a nametag should send the request to olli@sou.edu and allow one week for the nametag to be created.
  • For information about parking at the Campbell Center and getting lot 16 parking permits, please view our OLLI at SOU Ashland Parking Guide.
  • For information about parking at the Higher Education Center, please view our OLLI at SOU Medford Parking Guide.

2025 Collette Trip Presentations Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24, is your golden opportunity to meet and talk in-person with our Collette

Tours representative about the 2025 trips and the many benefits of traveling with Collette. The two trips

are “Spotlight on San Antonio” on April 14–18 and “Canyon Country” on September 5–12. For details about these trips and reservation links, visit our Travel with OLLI page on our new website!


There are two meeting times scheduled for September 24: 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 3:30–5 p.m. The presentations will be the same—attend either time, come to Campbell Center, Room E, and bring your questions.

Community Lecture Series:

Cardiovascular Health

OLLI at SOU presents its community lecture series on Wednesdays evenings in October. Thanks to Asante for organizing the series and to host Steven Hersch, MD. Lectures are held October 9, 16, 23, and 30, 7–8 p.m. PT via Zoom.


October 9: Clogged Fuel Lines and Electrical Mischief of the Heart Brian Gross, MD, Cardiologist with Southern Oregon Cardiology, will present information on arteries and veins and the role they play in the overall timing of the heartbeat. Click to register.

Sign Up for the One Credit Program

Participation in the One Credit program helps SOU students and gives you free access to the SOU Hannon LibraryThe more members who participate, the more funding SOU gets from the State of Oregon to support the next generation of lifelong learners.


To participate, you must be age 65+ and have lived in Oregon for at least 12 months. Take a minute and sign up for the One Credit program. If you are unable to fill out the online form, give our office a call and we will help: 541-552-6048. We just have to verify your date of birth and residence. If you have already filled out the form, thank you! Forms are due by Wednesday, October 23rd.
