GFCO’s Position Statement on Fermented and Hydrolyzed Products

GFCO has recently amended its criteria for the acceptance of fermented and hydrolyzed products, ingredients and ingredient components---

GFCO Public Product List: Please be aware that GFCO will soon be updating our public list of certified products, and all retail products that have been in our system for 6 months or longer will be made public on or after April 1, 2023. If you have products that were approved prior to October 1, 2022, that have still not launched and that you do not want to appear on the public list, please contact your client service representative to let them know. Please remember that all products which are classified as Retail will appear on the public list exactly as they are shown on your certificate, so review your certificate, and submit any needed changes to your client service representative on our Product & Ingredient template.

GFCO Approved Kit List Update: GFCO has released a new version of our approved test kit list, which includes one new test method, the Neogen Reveal 3-D for Gluten, that recently received AOAC Performance Tested Method status for use on surfaces and for CIP/rinses. Because this method was only validated for these uses, this method may still not be used to meet GFCO’s requirements for testing high-risk raw materials or Products.

Quarterly Testing Due Date: This is a reminder that all testing data generated during January, February and March must be submitted to testing@gluten.org by April 10th.
