USDA-FSIS Allergen Sampling Program
The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service has had a program in place since 2018 to test ready-to-eat products that make claims regarding the presence of soy. They now have an analytical system in place to allow them to add thirteen other allergens and gluten to this program and have announced that they will begin sampling under this new program on September 1st, 2024.
