Our plan of communication would be by email and/or robocalls. Please, as always, make sure your info is current with the office.
If your child shows signs of illness, please:
- Keep them home if he or she has a fever of 100 degrees or more. If they have an early morning temperature of 99.0 or more, it will only climb as the day wears on. Please do not give Tylenol or Motrin to cover the fever and send them to school. Once the medication wears off and the fever returns, you will have exposed classmates and teachers to your child’s illness. Additionally, your child is more at risk for other illnesses/viral infections.
- If your child shows symptoms of the flu (fever, chills, cough, sore throat, headache, muscle aches) keep them at home and contact your doctor. If you are unsure about the symptoms, contact your doctor early.
- If your child is showing signs of a severe cold (stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, hacking cough) you may need to keep your child at home to rest and get plenty of fluids to prevent the symptoms from worsening. If a fever develops, please contact your doctor and keep your child at home.
- Call the absentee line, report their absence and share what their illness is. We need to be able to communicate with our families about the incidence of particular illnesses.
