Part 2 of Parables of Preparedness: The Parable of the Talents
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ - Matthew 25: 21

This Sunday, we're studying the parable of the talents, and we'll look specifically at the different outcomes of how those talents were used.

If you missed the first in this series, the parable of the 10 virgins, you can watch it at hfumc.org/media.

Merry Missions! Several ways to Impact Sumner this holiday season
This special (2020) holiday season calls for a heavy dose of neighborly love. Please share your gifts, HFUMC! Here are a few ways you can help…

Shalom Zone Underwear & Socks Drive - HFUMC is collecting small packages of new underwear (kids sizes toddler to 14-16) for the Shalom Zone. You can bring these items to church and place them in the collection bins by the Welcome Center or by the church office. Or we’ll do the shopping for you! If it’s easier, you can donate money by texting* "HFUMC Shalom" to 73256. Or you can send a check with “Shalom” in the subject line to HFUMC. All donations are due by Sunday, November 29.

Christmas4kids - This is the annual tour bus operation you might be familiar with that typically hosts a huge shopping spree at Walmart for families in need. This year, due to COVID-19, volunteers are doing the shopping for the kids. And by “volunteers,” we mean YOU (along with other community members)! Community members will be shopping Dec. 7 and Dec. 8. Learn more and sign-up here.
You may recall in years past we've supported military families at Fort Campbell via gift donations to their Toys For Tots program. This year, in lieu of toys, Fort Campbell requested our help in covering holiday meals. Because of your generous giving this year, HFUMC has already been able to send a generous donation to support this worthy cause. Thank you for continuing to support our efforts to Impact Sumner County and beyond!

*This number will never send unsolicited texts to you. To cancel further messages, text STOP. If you need assistance with text giving, text HELP. Standard text message and data rates may apply.
