While MCU Temporarily Closes Lobbies

Our thoughts are with each and every one of our Mountain Credit Union family as we all face these unprecedented and uncertain times. We continue to closely follow guidance from the NC Governor's Office, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the NC Credit Union Division, as well as local health officials.

It is our responsibility to our members and staff to take precautions to help reduce the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19). In light of this:
  • Beginning Friday, March 20, 2020 we will stop all public access to our lobby areas. Our drive-thru will be open from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday for the foreseeable future.

  • ATMs at each of our branch offices are available for withdrawal of funds and our ATM at our Waynesville facility can process both withdrawals and deposits.

Our free electronic services will allow you to access your account at any time. If you are not currently signed up for our electronic services, review the options below and click on the link to submit your contact information. One of our staff members will contact you to determine what services would be most helpful to you and how to get signed up.

If you would like to apply for a loan you can easily apply through MCU Online and funds can be deposited directly to your checking account. If you are not signed up for MCU Online call your local office for instructions on how you can apply for a loan.

Please be assured that Mountain Credit Union is financially secure and while we could never have envisioned this scenario we are prepared financially and operationally with a formal Business Continuity Plan. We have invested in state-of-the-art technology to continue to provide services to you remotely if necessary. We hope to get back to normal as quickly as possible.

Mountain Credit Union is here to help you navigate through these operational changes. We will make the best decisions possible while still serving the needs of our members. We are in this together and will get through this stronger than before.

Electronic Options For Accessing Your Mountain Credit Union Account
Rest assured that all direct deposits and pre-authorized debits will continue to be posted as scheduled.
  • MCU Online is our online banking platform. Sign in securely with your secure USER ID and password. MCU Online will allow you to view balances and transaction history, access statements, transfer funds, and make payments. MCU Online is available on your desktop or mobile device.

  • MCU OnCall is our audio response line. Sign in securely with your secure USER ID and password to check balances, hear transaction history, transfer funds, and make payments. You can access MCU OnCall when you dial: 877-699-6328 or 828-456-6474

  • BillPay is a platform within MCU Online that will allow you to pay bills electronically. You can choose to pay a one time bill or set up recurring payments.

  • MCU Mastercard Debit Card allows you to withdraw funds from an ATM or use to purchase items at any merchant that accepts Mastercard. The funds will be debited directly from your checking account.

  • MCU Mastercard Credit Card provides purchases or cash advances with monthly payback terms.

  • Snap-A-Check allows you to take a photo of a check and submit to Mountain Credit Union for deposit.

  • ATMs are located at each of our offices. ATMs at all offices will dispense cash. The ATM at our Waynesville facility will dispense cash and accept deposits.

  • Drop Boxes are available at all of our offices with the exception of Waynesville. The drop-box is in the drive-thru window area and documents or payments can be left in the drop box 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
  • MCU Mobile is a mobile app that can be accessed from your mobile device. Sign in securely with your USER ID and password. MCU Mobile will allow you to view balances, transaction history, transfer funds, and make payments.
