At Lake Forest Parks & Recreation the safety of our patrons, participants, and staff is our top priority.
Based on the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19 and recommendations from public health officials to limit public gatherings, Lake Forest Parks & Recreation is suspending all programs, pavilion rentals, and closing our facilities beginning today, Friday, March 13 at 8:00pm. We will be closed for 3 weeks and will reopen on April 6.
The Lake Forest Parks & Recreation Department closure follows Lake Forest schools and recommendations from public health officials to minimize exposure to participants and staff.
Governor Pritzker, in a press conference yesterday, stated that public service entities can play a vital role in facilitating social distancing and help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Although inconvenient, we believe these closures will ultimately benefit the health and welfare of our community.
All activities, rentals, and events at the following facilities are suspended:
• Recreation Center
• Fitness Center
• CROYA
• Deerpath Golf Course
• Kinderhaven Preschool Academy
• Everett Recreation Annex
• Lake Forest Dance Academy
• Athletic Programs
• Sailing Programs
• Wildlife Discovery Center
• Stirling Hall Art Center
• Lakefront and Beach
• Dickinson Hall
Lake Forest Parks and Recreation will be evaluating refunds or household credits during this closure. This is a quickly evolving situation and we will be posting updates on our website
www.LFParksandRec.com
and Facebook pages as changes occur.
We thank you for your understanding.
