We received word that some clients are experiencing issues with credit card batching and it appears it is happening to those who don't have the R7 update patch installed for v11 (2013) and v12 (2015).
The main issue we are seeing is that the software is not always setting the auto-batch close time to midnight as designed.
This was addressed and resolved in R7, but requires you to install the patch.
How to Install & Check for Updates
- From within Point of Sale, go to Help >> Software Updates >> Check for Updates
- POS will check for updates.
- If an update is available, click Update Now
Important: To avoid errors and unexpected results, DO NOT cancel the update until it completes.
Critical Warning for v12 Users!
As a reminder, we mentioned in our previous blast the error that can occur when updating to R6 (for v12 users). It is possible the same error could arise when updating to R7.
We strongly suggest that you perform the update before you open or after you close so you are not down during business hours.
