Due to flooding on the Salinas River, Marina Coast Water District is moving into an increased state of readiness, and its offices are currently closed to the public.
According to a County press release: anticipated flooding from the Salinas River could impact the Salinas-Monterey Highway 68, River Road, Reservation Road, Blanco Road, multiple secondary roads and potentially Highway 1. “Residents on both the Peninsula and in the Salinas area should expect to be cut off for two to three days. If you see road closure signs it is imperative that you do not attempt to traverse those roads. Turn around, don’t drown,” the release read.
