Dear John Paul II Center Community,
We were recently notified by Mrs. Mary A. Adams, Principal of the John Paul II Center for Special Learning that she will be leaving her position effective September 5, 2023. Mrs. Adams will be pursuing another career leadership opportunity as President of the three Special Education Schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Diocese of Allentown, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Adams for her twenty-six years of dedicated service as an educator at John Paul II. She was a teacher for her first two years at JP II and has been our principal since 1999. Her time as principal has seen the establishment of many new programs and services for our students, the increase of the number of students, and the construction of a new state of the art facility on a beautiful campus in 2002. We are so grateful for Mrs. Adams' leadership and the care and attention she gave to the students and families she served and served so well.
Given this news, the John Paul II Board of Directors has begun a search for a new Principal and will advertise for the principal position.
Mrs. Adams, our teachers, staff, and administrative team will continue to prepare for the successful launch of the new school year that will begin on August 28, 2023.
