Dear EDGE Community,

It is with mixed emotion that we share that as of September 30, 2021, The EDGE will be closing its Williston facility located at 115 Wellness Drive and consolidating its programming with our other EDGE locations in South Burlington and Essex. The Williston building has been sold to a developer who will be changing its use.

If you wish to continue your membership, you do not need to do anything. We are hopeful that you, our valued Williston member, will continue your EDGE membership and make the short drive to either of our South Burlington locations located at 75 Eastwood Drive and 142 West Twin Oaks Terrace, or our Essex locations located at 4 Gauthier Drive and 4 Morse Drive; many of these facilities have been newly renovated. For those who use the Williston EDGE facility and who wish not to continue as an EDGE member, we understand, and a pro-rated refund will be issued upon request. Should you wish to be contacted by an EDGE Membership Director in the upcoming week, please click on the link: EDGE Contact Request Form

Why is this decision being made?
Although several factors contributed to this decision the largest one is the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The EDGE, due in large part to our incredible staff, loyal members and our COVID-19 response plan have managed well throughout the last 18 months. However, the impact to our Williston location has been disproportionate in comparison to the other sites making the operations unsustainable. This decision also provides a powerful opportunity to merge our teams to be more efficient and consolidate programming so we may be more effective for our community.

What is next?
This difficult business decision will allow the EDGE to consolidate services and our team in a way that will ignite GROWTH and IMPROVEMENT, allowing the other locations to be the very best they can be.  You have seen the extensive improvements, upgrades and program growth that has occurred during even the worst of the pandemic and we have no intentions of slowing down. Our tennis facilities are undergoing extensive improvements, our Joy Drive Kids & Fitness building has just completed a complete exterior refurbishing. At the West Twin Oaks Terrace location, we have a new, upgraded, and unique home base for both Parisi and our new TRIBE program to move into. We have invested a record amount of money into the facilities over the last 12 months to assure we are welcoming the community back into our clubs that are cleaner, refreshed, inspiring and vastly upgraded.  Make no mistake, the EDGE is moving ahead at full speed with the clear goal of creating the best facilities, programs, and teams we HAVE EVER HAD!

We realize this news may be disappointing to some and for that and any inconvenience this may cause, we sincerely apologize. On behalf of all of us here at the EDGE, we want to sincerely thank the incredible staff that has given so much to the Williston location and to you, our loyal members and patrons, that have called it home for so long.

With Sincerest Gratitude,

Mike
