This email is to inform our customers of the price increase that will be in effect for all services beginning January 1, 2022. In the past, annual pricing increases have either been 1 or 2%. Due to significant increases throughout 2021 and more to be expected in 2022 we are performing a 7% price increase for services. 

Over the past 2 months we have been running an in-depth cost analysis and projection of all our current material, labor and fuel costs. As you can imagine NONE of our materials have decreased in price. Pesticide products are currently up 9.4% this year. Our current fertilizers have rose 11.1% since February. Specific ingredients like citric acid have gone from $50 for 50 pounds to $130 for the same 50 pounds.

In addition to material, the demand for competent employees has gone up greatly. We feel very fortunate to have our team in place but we have experienced members of our staff receiving job offers from competitors and from other job fields. Thankfully, we have held on to our quality staff but they too are feeling the squeeze at the gas pump, grocery store and the car lot. Some have put homeownership on hold due to the wildly rising housing market and those that rent are paying premiums to keep a roof over their head. 

The pest control industry has never really allowed a family to flourish on 1 income. It has always been easier with a dual income household. Over the years we have met countless men and women who have been able to make a career out of our industry and provide themselves and their families a well-earned, successful living. One they can feel proud of and satisfied with. We have to ensure this is still sustainable.

We hope this is a short-term complication but we are uncertain. Our goal has always been to charge a fair price and over deliver on our service. We will be looking at things constantly for the foreseeable future and hope that this increase is all it will take to get us back on track and moving forward. Additional price increases may be necessary during the 2022 calendar year. If this happens we will let you know before making any changes. For those customers that choose to pre-pay for their services, we are still extending the 5% prepayment discount and pricing will be locked in for the 2022 year.
