Upper-Year Entry to Concurrent Education
Intermediate-Senior (Grade 7-12) - Science-Chemistry/Science-Physics
Arts and Science students who will be declaring a degree plan in, for example, Astronomy, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Science or Physics may be interested to know they can apply to transfer to Concurrent Education.
The upper-year entry is for the Intermediate-Senior (teaching grades 7-12) division. The first teaching subject must be
. The second teaching subject must be chosen from the list below; 24 units are required in the second teaching subject.
Second Teaching Subjects:
First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies
French as a Second Language
Music – Vocal or Instrumental
Science – Biology
Science – Chemistry
Science – Physics
Steps to apply are as follows:
- Review the Concurrent Education degree requirements
- Complete the A&S Program / Plan Selection between 13 – 24 May, 2019
- Complete the Application form before the deadline: 24 May 2019

The Faculty of Education will determine the number of spaces available in Science-Chemistry and Science-Physics by June. Applicants will be ranked based on CGPA comprising a full 1st year course load (eg, 30 units). Applicants will be informed of decision at beginning of June prior to Fall/Winter term course selection in July. If eligible for an offer to the program, an academic advisor is available to assist with course selection for teaching subject requirements.
