March 2021
Important Information for BK Seniors and Parents of BK Seniors
Hello Bishop Kelly Seniors and Parents of BK Seniors,

I cannot believe it’s March already and it’s been nearly a full year since we’ve been dealing with this Global Pandemic. As an administrative team, we are keenly aware of the impact that this has had on our students, faculty and staff, families and are particularly sensitive to the impact that it has had on our current senior class. With that in mind, I want to make you all aware of some of the conversations and planning that is happening behind the scenes to try to make the last three months of the 2020-2021 School Year as normal and memorable as possible. In addition to the big events below, if you have other suggestions or ideas on events that you would be interested in taking the lead, please let us know how we can support you.

Information from the February Newsletter that is relevant and important for Seniors and Senior Parents to note:
After making your final college decision, remember to contact all schools you have been admitted to thanking them and letting them know you have decided to enroll elsewhere.

Scholarships Awarded
As students receive notification of scholarships, please send a copy of the award letter to We will use this information to compile for graduation. Please submit all awards, regardless of the student’s final college selection.

Why is scholarship information important, and how is it used?
We list all the scholarships our students have been offered with the student’s name (no amounts are listed) in the graduation program. This is how we publicly recognize the students for their achievements and it is a tribute to them, It also helps raise a certain degree of awareness regarding where our students have been accepted and the types of scholarships that are available to students.

Update the “My Colleges” section on Scoir. Accurately record the colleges you have applied to, and the admissions decision (if you have heard back from them). If you have made your final decision, please note that. Having accurate information on this website is important for your counselor to accurately track your records. It also gives the school helpful data with regards to where Bishop Kelly students are applying. Ms. Klover has been receiving scholarship opportunities to various colleges and having your Scoir college application list updated allows her to know who to share this scholarship information with.
