Dear Seniors, Parents, and Guardians,
I look forward to sharing many activities and celebrations with you as we close out the year. Here are some helpful details on upcoming dates and events.
Senior Projects

Final Reflections for all four-week projects must be submitted between May 29 and June 1 at noon.

Final Reflections for Greece must be submitted by May 30.
- Final Reflections for the Bahamas must be submitted by June 1.
- Final Reflections for France and Peru must be submitted by June 2.

An email was sent to seniors with a Google Form to submit the Final Reflection. Be sure to follow the requirements on the rubric.
- Each project includes a reading component — book, series of articles, etc. — which must be referenced in the Final Reflection.
- The Senior Project Showcase will be Tuesday, June 2, at 5 p.m.
- Successful completion of the Senior Project is a graduation requirement.
Laptop Returns | By Friday, June 5
Please return your laptop to the Hanflig Technology Center by Friday, June 5. Students who have not returned their laptops by then will be expected to bring them to the Hanflig Technology Center when we gather for Last Chapel and Commencement rehearsal on that date.
Please note that any senior who fails to return their laptop and charger by the stipulated deadline will be billed for the replacement costs.
Email Forwarding & Data Backup | By Friday, July 31
- Account Access and Data Management
- Your Thayer email accounts and Google Workspace access will remain active until Friday, July 31. This allows you time to transition your important emails and files.
- Access to other services using Thayer credentials, such as MySchoolApp and Zoom, will be deactivated immediately after graduation.
- Email Forwarding and Data Backup
- To assist you in transitioning your school work and communications, Thayer invites you to visit the IT office for guidance on setting up email forwarding from your Thayer account to a personal email address. Additionally, IT will provide support for using Google Takeout, a service that helps you download and save your files and school history.

Prom 2026 | Wednesday, June 3

Prom will be held on Wednesday, June 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Museum of Science.
- Students will gather on the Teardrop at 5:30 p.m. for pre-Prom photos before boarding buses. All are encouraged to gather for pictures.
- As in years past, it is mandatory that students and their guests take bus transportation to and from the venue for Prom. The buses will leave the Museum of Science at 10 p.m. and arrive back on campus between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m.
Last Chapel | Friday, June 5, 8:30 a.m.
Last Chapel will take place Friday, June 5, at 8:30 a.m. in Alumni Gym. Attendance is mandatory. We ask that students wear Assembly Dress for this special occasion.
Commencement Rehearsal | Friday, June 5
Commencement rehearsal will take place immediately after Last Chapel on June 5. Please listen for an announcement with further instructions at the end of the program.
Commencement | Saturday, June 6, 8:45 a.m.
Graduating seniors will meet in the Center for the Arts (CFA) O’Toole Lobby at 8:45 a.m. Commencement will begin at 9:30 a.m. and last until approximately 11:30 a.m. It will be located on the front lawn of Main Campus, with first-come, first-served seating. Additional seating will be available in the CFA's Hale Theater, where the ceremony will be livestreamed for those who prefer to sit indoors.
Graduate Attire
Attire for graduates usually falls into one of the following categories:
- A suit, white shirt, and tie
- A dark blazer with dress pants, white shirt, and tie
- A white dress or pantsuit

INVITATIONS
Invitations were distributed at The Last Hurrah! Please see Ms. McCarthy if you did not get any or would like more as mementos.
