Judicial Scholarship Opportunity to
NCJFCJ 85th Annual Conference in Reno, NV
The Children’s Commission is offering up to 13 reimbursement scholarships for qualifying Texas judges to attend the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges’ (NCJFCJ) 85th Annual Conference on July 17-20, 2022 in Reno, Nevada. More information about the conference is available on the NCJFCJ 85th Annual Conference website.

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must hear civil child welfare cases. Preference will be given to judges who have larger percentages of their docket dedicated to child welfare cases. The scholarship will take the form of reimbursed registration fees and allowable conference-related expenses, such as travel, lodging, and meals, up to $2,100 total. Any additional expenses must be covered by the scholarship recipient.

All applicants must also agree to complete a post-event survey from the Children’s Commission. Early applications are strongly encouraged due to the limited number of scholarships. For more information about the scholarship and to submit an application, please visit the Judicial Scholarships webpage.

Please note, the application period for this scholarship opportunity will close at midnight on Friday, April 29, 2022.
