Registration Deadline Today for the “Day with the Department” Judicial Conference
In partnership with the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), the Children’s Commission is proud to host a judicial conference on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST. The complete schedule is available at 2020 Day with Department Agenda.

Curriculum highlights include the following:
  • An early look at statewide data regarding the impact of COVID-19 on child and family outcomes
  • Updates from the General Counsel on the federal lawsuit and IV-E funding
  • Emerging issues and information from Department leadership
  • Regional breakouts to discuss court-specific data with DFPS Regional Directors, Regional Systems Improvement Specialists, and Single Source Continuum Contractor representatives in regions with Community Based Care

Registration for the “Day with the Department” judicial training closes today, December 1 at midnight. Registration is limited to judges who hear child welfare cases. There is no registration fee. Please visit Day with the Department to register for the conference.
