The Children’s Commission, in partnership with the Capacity Building Center for Courts, will host a virtual Reasonable Efforts Judicial Academy on December 15-16, 2022. Reasonable Efforts findings are a powerful tool for courts to improve outcomes for children and families by ensuring child welfare agencies are fulfilling their obligation to keep families together and ensure timely permanency. This 1.5 day highly interactive academy for judges will provide instruction in the black letter law and art of making reasonable efforts findings as well as opportunities for participants to apply gained knowledge and learn from peers across the state. MCLE, TBLS, and Family Violence Hours will be requested.

Due to the interactive nature of this training, spots for this judicial training are limited and registrants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Early registration is encouraged. Registration is now open and will close on Friday, October 14, 2022. Judges who apply will be notified of their registration status during the week of October 17, 2022.
