Reasonable Efforts findings are a powerful tool for courts to improve outcomes for children and families by ensuring child welfare agencies are fulfilling their obligation to keep families together and ensure timely permanency. The Children’s Commission, in partnership with the Capacity Building Center for Courts, will host a virtual Reasonable Efforts Judicial Academy on December 15-16, 2022.
This 1.5 day highly interactive academy for judges will provide instruction in the black letter law and art of making reasonable efforts findings as well as opportunities for participants to apply gained knowledge and learn from peers across the state. MCLE, TBLS, and Family Violence Hours will be requested.
Registration is limited due to the interactive nature of the training, and spots recently became available. Please register below by 5:00 p.m. this Friday, December 9, 2022. Judges who apply will be considered on a first come, first served basis and will be notified of their registration status on Monday, December 12, 2022.
