Spotlight on Child Sexual Exploitation in January
January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Please join the Children’s Commission’s Judicial Workgroup on the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a free, 1.5 hour webcast entitled “The Texas Response to the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children.” Panelists from the Office of the Texas Governor, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services, and Texas CASA will provide insight into their efforts to prevent, identify, and support children at risk and survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. The webinar will include a moderated discussion on how the respective agency actions combine to form a comprehensive response to the commercial sexual exploitation of children in Texas.
