87th Legislative Session Archived Webcast, Related Program Materials, and Report
A recording of the July 22, 2021 live webcast “87th Legislative Session Update on CPS-Related Matters” and its accompanying PowerPoint Presentation are now available on the Children's Commission’s On-Demand MCLE webpage. Executive Director Jamie Bernstein, Legal Representation Director Dylan Moench, and Staff Attorney Aimee Corbin provided the update on bills affecting child welfare law passed during the 87th Regular Legislative Session, the statutes affected, and their effective date. The State Bar of Texas has approved two hours of MCLE for this webcast, including 0.25 hours of ethics, and self-reporting information is available on the Children’s Commission website.

In addition, the Children's Commission's 87th Texas Regular Legislative Session Report is now available online. The Legislative Session Report lists the legislative changes by bill number and by statute and includes changes to the Texas Family Code.
