Essentials of Family Representation in CPS Cases:
6 hours of MCLE on September 26, 2019 
Start time 9:00 a.m., ending at 4:00 p.m.

In partnership with the State Bar of Texas, the Children’s Commission will present 6 hours of MCLE (including ethics hours, TBD) on Thursday, September 26th, 2019, entitled “Essentials of Family Representation in CPS Cases.” This presentation will be of interest to all practitioners on the CPS docket and will include the following panel discussions:

  • Essentials of Child Representation in CPS Cases: Ethics and Best Practices for AALs 

  • Mediation as a Tool for Family Reunification

  • Essentials of Parent Representation in CPS Cases: Ethics and Best Practices for Attorneys Representing Parents

  • Avoiding Burnout: Essentials of Self Care in CPS Cases

The speakers will be experienced Texas judges and attorneys. The presentation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. with short breaks between each panel. Please look for an announcement in early September from the Children’s Commission with links to registration and additional program information and course descriptions for this CLE.
