Child Protective Services offers a webinar series dedicated to exploring issues related to racial and ethnic disparities in the child welfare system. On June 21, 2019, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. (CDT), the webinar topic will be “LGBTQ and Race Equity.” It will feature a moderated panel of Texas-based and national speakers to address the intersections of race, sexual orientation, and equity. Speakers will be Dennise Jackson (Statewide Recruitment Officer with Texas CASA), Currey Cook (Counsel and Director of the Youth in Out-of-Home Care Project at Lambda Legal), and Micki Washburn (Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Arlington School of Social Work).
