IDD Suicide Prevention Flyers

HHSC’s Suicide Prevention Team recently released informational flyers on suicide prevention for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The flyer is available in English and Spanish. Additional suicide prevention resources are available here.

Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Webinar

Dr. Mark Munetz is the co-developer of the Sequential Intercept Model and a nationally recognized expert in community psychiatry. A new webinar from Dr. Munetz, The Sequential Intercept Model: Using AOT to Reduce the Need for Competency Restoration, is now available at SMI Adviser. AOT is a tool that courts and mental health systems employ to address non-adherence to treatment. The webinar will focus on how the use of AOT can impact people across the sequential intercept model, including how AOT can be used to reduce the need for inpatient competency restoration services. Note that viewers will need to create a free SMI Adviser account to access the webinar.
