Upcoming Webinar: Building and Supporting Adoptive Families

The Children’s Commission will host a webinar on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. entitled “Building and Supporting Adoptive Families.”

The presentation will include the following speakers:

• Melinda Haggerty, SVP, General Counsel, Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption; and
• Cara Fox, Program Director, Heart Galleries of Texas



This webinar will focus on building and supporting the adoption process, from recruitment to post-adoption support. The session will highlight available tools to support positive permanency and feature a discussion about two innovative programs: Wendy’s Wonderful Kids and Heart Galleries of Texas.

MCLE credit and TBLS credit is pending. This presentation will be archived, and materials will be available on the Children’s Commission website following the live webinar.
