Texas 89th Regular Session Update

A recording of the July 29, 2025 webinar entitled “Texas 89^th Regular Legislative Session Update” and PowerPoint presentation are now available on the Children’s Commission’s On-Demand Training and MCLE webpage. Children's Commission Staff Attorney Brenda Kinsler provided an update on House and Senate bills related to child welfare law, the statutes affected, and the effective date.

The State Bar of Texas approved 1.5 hours of MCLE for the webinar, and the Texas Board of Legal Specialization approved 1.5 hours for certification and recertification in the specialty fields of Child Welfare and Family Law.
