TIDC Survey Deadline Extension

The Texas Indigent Defense Commission (TIDC) extended an important survey deadline. For more information, please see the announcement below.

The Texas Indigent Defense Commission (TIDC) Survey on Attorney Motivations and Longevity in Indigent Defense has been extended to November 15, 2025. TIDC is conducting a survey to better understand the experiences and motivations of attorneys who accept criminal indigent defense and child welfare appointments. Attorneys who accept court appointments in child welfare cases are encouraged to submit responses.

TIDC invites attorneys who currently or have previously worked in a public defender's office or taken court-appointed cases in adult criminal defense, juvenile delinquency, or child welfare, to share their insights. Attorney feedback will help inform policy discussions and strengthen support for attorneys working in criminal public defense and child welfare cases across Texas.
