The Children’s Commission now offers technical assistance and support for legal trainings which provide judicial and/or attorney training related to child welfare matters in Texas. Support for a proposed community, county, or regional training may include, but is not limited to, technical assistance with:
- developing a training agenda,
- identifying speakers,
- hosting a webinar on Zoom,
- identifying a venue, and/or
- obtaining MCLE credit.
Additionally, financial assistance may include, but is not limited to, payment of speaker, venue, or MCLE fees.
Applications for legal training support must demonstrably relate to improving the safety, permanency, or well-being for children and families involved with the child welfare system. The application must identify a judicial sponsor and indicate which of the Children’s Commission’s Strategic Plan goal(s) the training aligns with (Collaboration, Systems Improvement, Legal Practice & Process, Training, and/or Data).
To learn more about Legal Training Support and to submit an application, please review the Legal Training Support information on the Children’s Commission website.
