Reevaluating Reasonable Efforts Findings

The Children's Commission will host a webinar entitled “Reevaluating Reasonable Efforts Findings” on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

 

This webinar will cover federal and state law on reasonable efforts, including bills passed during the Texas 88th Regular Legislative Session which affect reasonable efforts findings in child welfare cases. A live fictional demonstration on reasonable efforts will be included followed by a discussion with a question-and-answer session. Speakers include Children's Commission Jurist in Residence, Hon. Piper McCraw, Judge of the 469th Judicial District Court; Children’s Commission Legal Representation Director Dylan Moench; and Children’s Commission Staff Attorneys Renée Castillo-De La Cruz and Aimee Corbin. MCLE and TBLS credits are pending.

 

Registration is limited and early registration is encouraged. The presentation and materials will be and archived and available on the Children’s Commission website.
