Dear Vacaville Christian School,

As we step into February and look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, I’m excited to share updates and plans that reflect our commitment to providing an exceptional, Christ-centered education. Thank you for your continued partnership and dedication to our mission of developing faithful, academically excellent leaders.

Please feel free to access our tuition rates for the 2026-27 school year, which can be found here. Our school’s plans for next year will position us to continue to improve and innovate in key areas important to our families (tune in to our recent fall State of the School, “Firm Foundations - Strong Future”, to learn more):

Key Focus Areas for the Future

  • A Safe, Secure Campus
  • I’ve shared previously, and it remains true, that safety and security are the number one priority at VCS. We have made significant investments in campus security, including controlled access, fencing, and monitoring systems. In the years ahead, we will continue strengthening safety protocols and campus design so families can remain confident that VCS is a place where students are known, protected, and free to focus on learning.
  • Exceptional Faculty and Staff Development
  • The quality of a school is inseparable from the quality of its people. As we look to the future, VCS is prioritizing faculty retention, compensation growth, and professional development to ensure instructional excellence and continuity for students. Our focus remains on attracting and retaining educators who are deeply committed to Christian formation as well as academic rigor.
  • Faith in Action through Service and Missions
  • One of the defining marks of a VCS education is the integration of faith into daily life. Building on the momentum of our Service and Spiritual Emphasis initiatives, we are continuing to expand meaningful, age-appropriate service opportunities for students. Our students will experience this firsthand next week as we launch into our curricular service week effort for 2026!
  • Expanding Opportunities in Fine Arts
  • Fine arts at VCS continues to grow in both excellence and opportunity. This year, our K–12 community will present Aladdin Jr. (March 13th and 14th, 2026), bringing students together in a schoolwide production that builds confidence and collaboration. At the same time, we are expanding instrumental music through additional performance experiences and enriching field trips designed to inspire students and strengthen the program.
  • Strong Academics
  • VCS remains firmly committed to academic excellence while continuously refining how students learn best. Ongoing enhancements in writing, math, and instructional alignment across grade levels reflect our commitment to preparing students not only for the next academic step, but for lifelong learning.
  • Falcon Field - Vision Forward
  • VCS is investing in facilities that support the full student experience. With Falcon Field Phase 1 now fully funded, we are moving forward with permanent restrooms, a new concession and gathering space, expanded storage, and upgraded locker rooms. These improvements enhance safety, stewardship, and community life while reducing long-term rental costs.

Tuition Rates and Financial Stewardship

We understand that tuition is a significant consideration for families (feel free to review our tuition rates for the 2026/2027 school year here), and we remain committed to balancing affordability with the exceptional quality of education we provide. While other schools have implemented tuition increases ranging from 8% to 15% or more, our school board of directors are working diligently to keep our increases modest. Our goal is to meet our strategic objectives, including improving faculty compensation, enhancing safety, and expanding academic and extracurricular opportunities, while minimizing the financial impact on our families.

Continuous Enrollment and Tuition Updates

As a reminder, VCS operates under a model of continuous enrollment, eliminating the need for an annual re-enrollment process. To withdraw for the following school year without incurring fees, please notify the Business Office in writing by March 2nd, 2026. As a reminder, Extended Care (Before/After school) is excluded from continuous enrollment. Please contact the Elementary Office for 2026-27 Extended Care enrollment.

Upcoming Events

Mark your calendars for the exciting events and initiatives ahead:

  • K-12 Musical Performance: Aladdin Jr. - A VCS K-12 Production (March 13th and 14th, 2026)

We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in shaping the future of your children. Together, we are building a legacy of faith, academic excellence, and servant leadership that will impact generations to come.
