COVID Protocol at BVR
What happens when a student has symptoms at school?
Any student that is not feeling well at school should be seen in the Health Office.
- When a student is experiencing any symptoms associated with the virus they will be isolated and need to be picked up by a parent/guardian or emergency contact. The Health Office will advise you on next steps of care for your child.
- Parents/guardians will need to coordinate pick up quickly so we appreciate you creating a plan for this in advance.
Communication plan
When a student is sent home with COVID related symptoms, all identified potential close contacts will be notified, and then will receive a follow-up communication regarding any test results received. Close contacts that are notified will not need to quarantine during the test result waiting period.
Follow up communication will include directives on current next steps of care, and any related quarantine requirements (depending on test results).
