RE: Water and Sewer Announcement

Dear University Hills Resident:

As a reminder, University Hills water and sewer service is supplied by the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) and billed by UCI Facilities Management to ICHA as a pass-through to University Hills. ICHA monthly statements reflect estimated average water and sewer charges, which are reconciled annually at the end of the fiscal year against the actual rates billed by UCI and the resulting adjustment is reflected on your year-end billing statement.
Your June 2020 ICHA statement will include the annual water and sewer adjustment. Homeowners with overpayments will see a credit on the statement, whereas homeowners with a balance will see an additional charge. If your water adjustment is over $100, you may arrange a payment plan to pay off the adjustment over a three-month period by e-mailing ICHAAcctg@icha.uci.edu prior to June 8 .

Actual Usage Charges to Appear on July Statements

ICHA is excited to announce that our new accounting system has the capability to charge actual water and sewer usage each month, and will no longer charge monthly estimates that require the annual adjustment. Starting with the July statements, homeowners will see “UCI Water Charge” and “UCI Sewer Charge” on their monthly statements. ICHA will continue to provide the water usage table with current and previous month reads and encourages all homeowners to monitor usage.

If you are currently enrolled in ICHA’s ACH Program (automatic pay), please be sure sufficient funds are available in your account to cover the total amount due, otherwise no additional action is required and funds will be collected from your account on Friday, June 12 . If you use a self-directed method of payment (i.e. bank Bill Pay service or personal check), please update your payment to reflect the amount due per your monthly statement.
