Dear friends,
I hope this message finds you well. I am sure that, like me, you are missing your time at the Village this spring. I want to assure you that we are working behind the scenes to bring as much of the Village to you in your homes as we can. I hope you’ve had a chance to check out the Virtual Village on Facebook , Instagram and our website where our interpreters, farmers, and curators have been sending in pictures and videos to keep your whole family entertained and engaged.

We also want to honor our commitment to you by extending your membership for the length of time that we must remain closed.
There is no need for a new membership card. We will handle everything for you and update your expiration date. When we reopen and you visit the Village in the future, our staff at the Visitor’s Center will be able to see the extended time on your membership in the system.

We are also excited to announce that Old Sturbridge Village has joined the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association . This means that members of Old Sturbridge Village at the $100 level or higher (Family or Family Plus One memberships) will receive reciprocal benefits at over 1,000 cultural institutions across the United States, Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and El Salvador. Explore the museums, aquariums, zoos, arboretums, and planetariums open to you through NARM here . We hope that this new partnership will give you more ways to enjoy your Old Sturbridge Village membership once we and other cultural institutions are back open. See the list of frequently asked questions below to learn more.

Thank you for being a member of Old Sturbridge Village . Your support is vital to our success, now more than ever. We look forward to seeing you at the Village when we can all safely return.

Wishing you and your family health and all the best,

NARM Reciprocal Benefits FAQ
I have a Family or Family Plus One membership and am interested in taking advantage of NARM reciprocal benefits. What do I need to do?
You will need to have your membership card updated with a NARM sticker and your new membership expiration date. In the future, these things will happen automatically when you purchase or renew your membership at a NARM-eligible level. For now, you can stop by our Visitor Center when we reopen to have these updates made to your membership card so that you can begin enjoying your NARM benefits. For those of you who are not local to the Village and would like to take advantage of your NARM benefits, please contact us at [email protected] and we will be happy to mail you a new membership card with an updated expiration date and NARM sticker when when membership staff are able to return to the Village.

I do not have a membership that is at the $100 or above level. How can I take advantage of NARM benefits?
If you would like to upgrade your membership to a Family or Family Plus One membership so that you can take advantage of NARM benefits, please contact us at [email protected]

Why are Family and Family Plus One memberships ($100 and above) the only memberships eligible for NARM benefits?
Unfortunately, this requirement is set by the NARM Association. The NARM Association requires that the individual membership must be purchased for a minimum of $100 in order to be eligible for reciprocal benefits.

I have a Union 61 or Military discounted membership. Am I eligible for NARM reciprocal benefits?
Unfortunately, per NARM guidelines, discounted memberships which bring the cost of membership below $100 are not eligible for NARM benefits. If you would like to upgrade your membership to a regular-priced Family or Family Plus One membership so that you can take advantage of NARM benefits, please contact us at [email protected]

What kind of benefits will I receive at NARM partner institutions with my eligible Old Sturbridge Village membership?
In addition to all the member benefits you receive at Old Sturbridge Village, your NARM-eligible membership card will now give you free member admission during regular museum hours to participating NARM institutions, member discounts at museum shops, and discounts on concerts and lectures tickets. How do I find a NARM member institution?
You can find a NARM institution on the NARM member map by searching for its name, city, state, or zip code. You can enter a radius if you need to search a certain area, or even search by category (zoo, children’s museum, etc.). We highly recommend that you contact the member institution before you visit to confirm participation in the program.

We want to thank you for your support. Old Sturbridge Village relies on donations big and small to deliver the best experiences and programming to our community both in-person and online. We hope you will consider a donation today.  Give online here.
