A Message from Clear Creek ISD
Dear CCISD Community:

There will soon be the day yellow buses will be rolling through neighborhoods, schools bustling with children eager to learn, and large events that draw people of all ages together to witness the great talent our students have in the arts and athletics. That day, however, will not be in this academic school year.

Today, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced all public schools will remain physically closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. For Clear Creek ISD, distance learning will continue through May 28, 2020. Plans for graduation and Class of 2020 events will be released soon.

Our entire CCISD team of educators and staff have done an outstanding job of creating and delivering distance learning into the living rooms of 42,000 homes. Our parents and guardians have taken on this additional burden with a winning spirit. They have learned how we do school and rallied around their children in meaningful and at times, humorous ways.

To our students. You are resilient, creative and intelligent. There are countless stories of children from kindergarten through high school who have taken this time to make the world around them a better place for all. We have started a compilation of those examples on this website .

We know there is nothing more normal in a child’s life than the tradition of going to school, learning with friends, and building positive relationships with their teachers. Please remind your children that those days await them with great desire from all of us in CCISD.

Sincerely,

Dr. Greg Smith, Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Laura DuPont, CCISD Board President
