Dear Lake Norman Tennis Community,

USTA Southern and USTA North Carolina have announced the cancellation of all Southern Sectional Championships and North Carolina State Championships for 2020 (see the full release here). 

LNTA has been working diligently on tentative plans for restarting local league play after the USTA suspension is lifted on May 31. The safety of our players is our utmost concern, and many variables influence our plans to return to the courts. We are currently working with all of the area clubs and public facilities to determine court accessibility and availability. We are also mindful of any restrictions which might impact our plan to resume leagues already started or to begin any new summer leagues.  

We intend to provide LNTA players with our specific plans for 2020 USTA League play as well as other playing opportunities by the end of next week. We are incredibly appreciative of the patience our Lake Norman players have shown and are hopeful of getting everyone back on the courts by mid- to late-June.
