Dear Fellow Congregants,
I write to you tonight to share some difficult news. Cantor Jon Sobel has resigned from his role at Temple B'nai Chaim. Since joining TBC, Cantor Sobel has been a valuable leader of our community and has accomplished a great deal with both our current and past leadership. His contributions have been essential to our synagogues's growth and success over the years, and we cannot overstate how much we appreciate all of his efforts in building the strong community that we have today.
We are currently in contact with our partners at the Union for Reform Judaism and the American Conference of Cantors so that they may guide us in our next steps. In the interim, we are committed to meeting our musical needs and to working toward a more permanent solution. We are grateful for Rabbi Bearman's support as we go through this transition. She is available if you would like to speak with her about this news, and I encourage you to reach out.
The Board of Trustees and I remain committed to transparency about our progress and will share regular updates as we move forward. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com.
I know I can count on your support as we work together towards our future goals.
Temple B'nai Chaim, President
