EARLY Act -Young Women’s Breast Health Education and Awareness Requires Learning Young Act (H.R. 4541/S. 2339)

This bipartisan legislation reauthorizes critical Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) programs focused on breast cancer education, awareness, prevention, and early detection for young women through 2031. Approximately 16% of all new breast cancer diagnoses in the U.S. occur in women under age 50. Breast cancer in younger women is often diagnosed at a later stage and can be more aggressive, making education and early detection vital and lifesaving.

🎉 Great News! The EARLY Act has officially passed the House of Representatives' Energy & Commerce Committee and the Senate's HELP Committee. It is scheduled for a vote on House floor in Congress next week and the Senate vote will follow. Our advocacy can help ensure the bill gains as many co-sponsors as possible and passes the House and Senate!
