RITE OF CONFIRMATION - SUNDAY MAY 15

At St. John Lutheran, Confirmation is for the young men and women in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. During this time, youth are formally taught to best appreciate what God has done in their lives with the gift of faith begun at their baptism. This guided ministry gives youth a chance to enrich their understanding and knowledge of our triune God so that they might make it their personal confession. After considerable study, youth confess their faith, dedicate themselves towards greater faith maturity (especially in confessing the truth of the Scriptures), and make a lifelong commitment of faithfulness to the Lord. This year we rejoice with 32 confirmands.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY IN NEED - MOTHER'S DAY TO FATHER'S DAY
PARTNERING WITH ANCHOR OF HOPE MINISTRY | BABY BOTTLES
Beginning on Mother's Day (the weekend of May 7-9), we will partner with Anchor of Hope (located in Sheboygan). This local clinic provides information, prayers, listening, help, and support to families that are struggling with unplanned or unwanted pregnancies. Our efforts will promote life and be a faithful witness to our God who creates, preserves, and renews life among us.

Baby Bottles: On Mother's Day Weekend, pick up a Baby Bottle. Then, place change and generous gifts inside the bottle. Return the Baby Bottle on Father's Day Weekend.

Presentation & Learn More: Anchor of Hope will speak on Sunday May 8 in the Cafeteria from 9:30-10:15 AM. Come with questions and be prepared to learn about how we might support the gift of life in our local community.
