Starting Wednesday, January 13, 2021, all Appalachian Regional Library facilities will be closed to the public. We will provide curbside and virtual services only. The library system has chosen this course of action due to the recent spike in COVID19 cases in North Carolina. Contact-free curbside pickup services will start on Wednesday, January 13 @ 10 am. You can place holds and we will do our best to get other materials that you want. Our website and Facebook page have fantastic programs for you to enjoy. Contact-free Curbside Pickup Services

For Wilkes County Library, call us at 336-838-2818 (option 1) or place holds for items at wilkeslibrary.org. For Traphill Branch Library, call 336-863-3563 or place holds at wilkeslibrary.org.

We will notify you when your holds are ready to pick up. Call us when you are in the pull-through area at Wilkes' lower level or in the parking lot at Traphill. Staff will place your bagged items with your name attached on the table at the library's entrance. You will need to leave your vehicle to pick up your items.
Accessing online & digital resources tips: Use your library card number and pin, which is the last 4 numbers of your phone number. Or, if you are a student in Wilkes County public schools, you can log in with your student ID (lunch) number. Your pin is the last 4 numbers of your student ID. Need to download an app? The Libby App is the easiest to access. When NC Live asks your institution, it is Appalachian Regional Library.
