April 24, 2025
Dear Staten Island Academy Community,
I am reaching out to inform you about an upcoming construction project. We will take every precaution with the project and it will temporarily affect our regular routine and activities. On Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29, 2025, we are removing and replacing the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning unit (HVAC) on the roof of Haugen Hall.
During this period, we are taking extra safety measures and the following changes will be in effect:
- All areas in and around Haugen Hall will be off limits to students, parents and employees
- Pick up and drop off in the Front Circle will be modified to the Upper Portion of the Parking Lot
- We will restrict Parking in the Front lot during these times
- All classes will be relocated from Haugen Hall to other buildings for the duration of the work
- We will have the back parking lot open for an additional drop off location
We understand that these temporary changes may cause some inconvenience during these two days. You should expect additional traffic during arrival and dismissal as we will not have the full use of the front circle.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. The construction project is a necessary step in improving our facilities and ensuring a better experience for everyone in the future.
If you have any questions regarding this project or the temporary changes, please do not hesitate to reach out.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work together to enhance our community.
Sincerely,
Eileen F. Corigliano, EdD
