SPECIAL SECTION: WHAT SOME ISLANDERS ARE DOING
THANKS ROBERT SPREEN FOR SHARING THIS FROM SPRINGPOINT
I live in the Spring Point neighborhood in Deer Harbor, and we have a neighborhood online “bulletin board”. My wonderful neighbors have created a “Picker Uppers” list to group provisioning trips to Eastsound, and to deliver supplies to high-risk residents who should not be in public at all.
I can cook food on Saturdays for people in need. I would have to Limit the numbers but I could cook Saturday mornings and take to store for pick up @ 4 pm. Have extra plastic bags? If we could get people to use their plastic bags as stuffing to make beds for the homeless and I could get them covered.
