Hi LNC Families,
You may have already seen information that the PTO hot lunch ordering period is open from October 20 to October 26. Our returning families are excited because they know it means they don’t have to pack lunches. But our new families may not be sure what it means or what is involved.
LNC is a bring-your-own-lunch school. None of our schools are equipped with kitchens, so we are not able to provide a "hot lunch."
Our PTO does not ask our families to buy wrapping paper, oranges, coupon books or cookie dough. Instead, it raises money to support our teachers by offering LNC families a convenience – an option for a hot lunch for their student. This is completely optional, however, over the years, the program has proven to be very popular with our families, resulting in a win-win for everyone. We appreciate the PTO managing this program!
Periodically throughout the year, we will notify our families of an upcoming "ordering period" and that is the time to go online and pre-purchase lunches in advance for a specific range of dates. The program, orgsonline.com, shows each available lunch date and the vendor/food options available for that date. Here is the planned vendor schedule under our current hybrid learning plan:
