Last Chance for NetClient!

For returns completed and e-filed this year, you will find your copies on SafeSend (using the emailed access code). However, tax returns completed in prior years and stored on Thomson Reuters NetClient portals will no longer be available after June 30, 2024.

If you have not saved your prior year returns, you have until the end of this month to log in to your NetClient portal, retrieve your documents, and save them to your computer.

The NetClient portal log in is: https://secure.netlinksolution.com/nextgen. It is also on our website under the Contact tab. If you have trouble logging in to your portal, please email Toni for assistance at toni@bouldercpas.com.

Estimates and Payments

If your returns are completed for tax year 2023 and you make quarterly estimated payments, you should have received Q2 tax estimate reminders on Monday 6/3/24 from SafeSendreturns.com. These reminders contain the links necessary to access your SafeSend account. From there, you can either print the estimated payment vouchers for mailing payments or pay online via the direct IRS and State payment websites. Q2 estimates are due Monday, June 17.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Toni or your Tax Manager before Monday 6/17/24.

Expecting a refund? IRS refunds for e-filed returns should be issued within 21 days and within 4 - 6 weeks for paper filed returns. You can check the status at Where's My Refund? (irs.gov/refunds). Wait at least 24 hours after e-filing for the status to update.

You can also download the IRS2Go mobile app to make a payment or check your refund status.

New Scam for Summer Travelers

The Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) has been receiving victim reports about toll road scams that have affected people across the country, including in Colorado.

These scams involve text messages that claim you owe money for unpaid tolls. The texts contain language and links that are created to impersonate the state's toll service name and system, appearing legitimate.

This type of scam may not stay limited to state toll roads and may include parks and other state departments. Remember - NEVER click on a link in a text or email unless you requested it! Instead, check your account using the service's legitimate website or app. If you suspect it is a scam, report it to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov.
