A Message from Fr. Doug
Regarding Pandemic Protocols
July 29, 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Our pandemic protocols are being adjusted once again. New data has indicated that the highly contagious variant of the COVID-19 virus has caused a surge of cases in our area, which is prompting some changes to our current safety protocols and procedures.

In light of recent guidance from the CDC, recommendations from our diocese, and consideration by our wardens, you will notice that the clergy and staff at Good Shepherd will be wearing masks when indoors with a large number of people. We also will be suspending hospital, nursing home, and home Eucharistic visits.

Although we are not making campus-wide changes regarding mask requirements, we do encourage everyone to heed the latest recommendation from the CDC that masks be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status. It is important that we all do our part to help mitigate the spread of this virus, and to ensure the health and safety of all our members. We continually strive to follow the commandment of Jesus to “love thy neighbor” and to care for one another.

Yours in Christ,
Doug+
