1.       Get more familiar with the issues

a. Watch this video (3 ½ min.) Stop the Spill video

b. Review this CEI Hub Bills Fact Sheet with bills talking points

c. Read MCAT summaries for HB 3450HB 2949HB 2152HB 2151


2. Create one letter of testimony for all four bills - creatively choosing your own preferred messaging from the talking points above.




3. Submit that same testimony (either in text or via PDF) to each of the four bills


***Helpful Hint: It is not necessary to make specific points about each bill, general commentary about the package of bills works as well. For extra credit or karma, you can also sign up to provide oral testimony, sign up for one or more bills here


4. Congratulate yourself on a job well done!

MCAT (Mobilizing Climate Action Together) is a community of experienced volunteers, sponsored by OLCV, who help steward significant greenhouse gas reduction policy into law in Oregon.

MCAT participates with the broad and inclusive climate and equity coalitions in Oregon and partners with OCN and others on coordinated action, particularly in regard to state legislation and policy.  MCAT also actively organizes to elect and support legislators who will work for strong climate legislation.
